Pivoting w/ Pizzeria Regina Boston
On today’s podcast episode, I’m very excited to have Anthony of Pizzeria Regina based right here in Boston. Pizzeria Regina was actually my very first job making pizzas in the industry and I still have fond memories.
Anthony joins me to discuss the growth of the company over the last 20 years and explains why they had to pivot a little bit.
Pizzeria Regina started heavily investing in food court slice shops however over the years, as the explosion of the Internet has changed in the way people shop, they are now focusing on more traditional pizzerias offering curbside pickup, delivery services and dining options as well. Join Anthony and I as we discuss how this has effected them and the future of Pizzeria Regina. We also discussed how having one specific location of commissary is the best way to build big pizzeria operation.
What to Listen For:
- How this Boston pizza institution got started
- Why they’ve changed business models a bit
- How they use their commissary
- Finding employees and managers in a changing world
- Using social media to build customers relationships
