SPM #163: Downsizing To One Location w/ Mark Gold of Pizza Shuttle”

Downsizing To One Location w/ Mark Gold of Pizza Shuttle

Mark Gold is the co-founder of Pizza Shuttle and has been on top 100 independent list for many years. I wanted Mark to join us mostly because they only have one location and the sales volume is pretty impressive. To me, it’s always curious when an operator owns one location for many years but doesn’t expand. In the episode, Mark shares with us that, they actually did expand and decided that it wasn’t for them so they decided to sell and go back to just one location. You’ll hear why they decided to do that.

Mark and I have a casual chat about business, employees and their thoughts on social media. I think you’ll get some interesting insights out of this talk.

What To Listen For:

  • How Mark built Pizza Shuttle
  • The challenges of opening more than one locations
  • Why Mark decided to downsize to one location
  • How they attract new employees
  • How they’re using social media
