How to increase engage on your facebook page
Facebook is changing, we all know this. It seems every time we look up, they come out with another change that decreases our reach. Here are a few simple ways to make sure that you keep your customers engaged and coming back to your page more often.
Post on a Regular Basis
So many times people ask me why they receive no responses from their pages. After reviewing, I immediately notice that they post very inconsistently….about only once or twice a month. That will not work.
Make sure you post on a regular schedule, not necessarily the same time but on a regular basis. This lets your fans know that by liking your page, they are going to get great continuous information.
If your not consistent, they won’t waste any of their time checking in because they know that you aren’t either lol.
Use Questions
Use questions as a way to get your fans talking (but make sure you respond to them) Nothing like someone asking you a question then walking right out of the room before you get a chance to answer. That’s rude, don’t be rude,be a good friend 🙂
A few examples:
“What’s your favorite topping” or
“Which pizza do you like better” with a photo of 2 of your pizzas
Take Your Own Photos
Use custom photos of your products, your fans will appreciate getting a chance to see what you do and how you do it. There are some really great tools such as Canva or Picmonkey to help make your basic photos look amazing.
Facebook does have different size specifications for different types of post so be aware of the type of post you are making.
Check this site out for more information about the right sizes for your facebook photos depending on what kind of post it is.
Run Contests
Run contests. Using your local sports team is a great way increase fans engagement. Take a look at some of these examples of contests that created a lot of engagement as well as brand awareness.
Examples:
1.Guess the score: Have your fans guess the score of an upcoming game. The person who gets the closest or the right score wins free pizza. Take it to the next level and anyone who guesses the exact score gets free pizza for a year.
2.Hide a gift card around your town and release photos on your page as the clues to where it’s located. take 3 or 4 photos throughout the day until you get to the final photo with the location.
Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook
Stop pushing your crap all the time. Nobody, and I mean nobody wants to follow a person who does nonstop selling of their product. I get it, you love your product and want to talk about it all the time but we (your customer) don’t necessarily feel that way so give us some value once and a while.
Be a human being for cripes sake.. talk about things you like to do or what’s going on around your area. If you do that you will be able to throw in a push for your product every once in a while.
Gary Vaynerchuk wrote a great book about this point called Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook. Get this book and read it. It will give you some great insight on how to promote yourself on a variety of social media sites
