3 Reasons To Choose Digital Marketing

Let me start off first by saying I do not hate direct mail. That being said, I do not think it’s the best investment if you have a limited budget and want to get the best bang for your buck. 

Here are my three reasons why you should consider using digital marketing instead of direct mail.

Number one It’s cheaper

Why would you, as a pizzeria owner who generates $8,000 to $10,000 a week in their store, spend 100% of their marketing budget on direct-mail? You would have to spend 100% of your marketing budget on a platform that doesn’t even reach half your audience.

It’s time to rethink how we reach and communicate with our potential customers and stop doing what we’ve alway done just because it’s always been done that way. Do what works today!

Number two You reach a targeted audience

When getting started with digital marketing, Facebook is the best marketing platform ever conceived in history. While that may change in the future, right now it’s the number one way for you to reach the exact targeted demographic. 

You can target where people live, their age, what they like, and so much more. It’s a little creepy when you sit to think about it but facebook has so much data on you that anyone who wants to target you on there will be able to do just that.

Number three: it’s where people’s attention is…

Nowadays if you watch TV, you probably watch it on demand or recorded and when a commercial comes on you either fast forward the commercial or you pick up your cell phone and check out what’s happening on social media. Think about it.

This is where people’s attention is and exactly where I want to spend my money.

Direct-mail was great 10 years ago pre-Facebook and social media because that’s how people got their information. However, this has totally changed. You need to really use your marketing plan and budget in the place that’s gonna get you in front of the people who are going to buy your product.
